23 Nisan Primary school students recently visited Final International University’s Tangül Çağıner Library, which is now open to the public. The thirty second-year students were accompanied by the vice-principal, Bingül Fırat and their teacher, Ayşen Münürsoy.
The students were able to learn about the library system, browse the collections and conduct some reading activities under the supervision of the Director of the FIU library, Mr Halil Ercan. Mr Ercan expressed his pleasure at seeing the students at FIU and was highly impressed at the answers he received to his question about the last book the students had read.
Ms. Fırat expressed her gratitude to FIU for both the warm welcome and for naming the library after a person as precious to society as Tangül Çağıner. The young 23 Nisan students brought colour and joy to the campus for the day, and their presence was very much appreciated by the FIU staff and students.
